The Moho-Bilondo fields are located on the Haute Mer Zone D licence offshore Congo. In 1995, Elf - now Total - discovered Mobim Nord, the first field on the deepwater block. Bilondo was discovered three years later. Oil is mainly present in two horizons: light crude in tertiary sandstone reservoirs and heavier crude in cretaceous carbonate formations.
